Printed circular with handwritten additions from the executive committee of the Charleston Bible Society requests members to hold a meeting in their district and introduces Rev. Artemas Boies as the general agent for the Lower Division of the state of South Carolina. The letter is addressed to William Hainsworth [Haynsworth] of Sumterville (now Sumter), South Carolina.
